Single Foster Mom RETREAT!

Are you dying for some community that understands your life, celebrates your kids and your calling, and cheers you on to keep going?  Join us for an AMAZING two-day kid-less single foster mom retreat!  It will be a one-of-a-kind weekend, including pampering, great food, relaxing accommodations, and likeminded friends.

WHERE: Dripping Springs, Texas (nearest airport is Austin Bergstrom International Airport, ABIA)

WHEN: February 8-10, 2019

WHO: Single foster and adoptive moms!  (If you're not single, don't worry.  We'll have more retreats in the future to include you!)

COST: $225 (see what’s included and not in the FAQs below)

HOW: We only have 20 SPOTS for this first retreat. Buy your ticket today!

  1. Are children invited? While we all adore our tinies and littles and bigs, this retreat is child-free. Hopefully in the future we can host a retreat for the whole family! Ideas for childcare include using respite in your area (contact your agency and/or ask on foster parent Facebook pages for recommendations) or hiring a babysitter certified to watch foster kids. As an alternative, if you’d like to bring a babysitter and stay in a nearby hotel with your child(ren), I can give you recommendations for that.

  2. What’s the goal of the retreat? The retreat is meant to be a space for us to connect, restore, relax, and leave more encouraged than we arrived. While we will have a couple of encouraging speakers, this is not a conference and is not meant to provide practical tips for parenting, foster care, the legal system, or anything else. (Though of course, it’s inevitable that we’ll all share what we know with each other!) If you’re looking for specific, practical help in a specific area, this probably fill that need. We want everyone to leave feeling seen, loved, encouraged, and ready for next steps in their journey.

  3. Is the retreat faith-based? It is likely that some of our speakers and coordinators will share faith-based encouragement, but women of all or no beliefs are entirely welcome! This is not a Bible study or church event.

  4. What are the sleeping arrangements? The beautiful lodges have 24 beds each. Some beds are queen / king, and some are twin. It’ll be first come, first served when we arrive! There is a very nice, communal bathroom with separate toilet rooms and showers. It’s basically like fancy camp with no tents or sleeping bags.

  5. What’s included in my ticket? The ticket price includes:

    * Accommodations for two nights (shared rooms but no shared beds!)

    * All meals, snacks, and beverages from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast

    * Incredible swag bag (additional details to come, and some SUPRISES at the event!)

    * Encouraging, motivational speakers

    * Relaxing, restorative time with new, likeminded friends

    * Invitation to a secret Facebook group just for attendees (use for sharing rides and making friends before and after!)

    The ticket price does not include:

    * Transportation to and from Dripping Springs, Texas (nearest airport is Austin Bergstrom International Airport, ABIA, and Lyft fair is approximately $35-45)
